Birthday cake with Brush Embroidery

A long silence....... I agree its been a very long time since I posted something, or visited my blogger friends...

Well, what kept me occupied and why the silence...

Nothing really that kept me away from blogging except for some travels and one of those moods when you want to do " nothing ".. Guess, its been a nice relaxation and the yearning to blog is back!!

Yes, I did only one cake in this period .... a birthday cake for a friend's father who was very touched by the gesture...

Some nice things happened along...

An interview with Femina was published in this months Diwali Special Issue...
Thanks for all the lovely mails and calls that have been pouring in since then.. It really means a lot to me... A big big thanks to all my well-wishers.

Deepavali is around the corner... So wish all of you a happy, prosperous and a safe Deepavali !!

See ya soon :))

Hi Swati,
Looks awesome. I've always been a silent reader and an admirer of your cakes and the cake decoration in particular. I was apprehensive of even baking a cake and i tried a month back and it came out well. My decoration sucked though :( I guess i need lot of practice and i cant even imagine me decorating something like this!! :-)
